Lippstadt, 28 February 2020. The Shareholder Committee of HELLA GmbH & Co KGaA decided on personnel changes in the HELLA Management Board at its meeting yesterday. Björn Twiehaus (41) will take over as Deputy Managing Director of the Electronics division on 1 April 2020. In this function he will also become a member of the HELLA Management Board. The mechanical and industrial engineering graduate has been working for HELLA since 2002 and has been a member of the Executive Board of the business division Electronics since 2017.

Furthermore, Dr. Werner Benade, Managing Director Aftermarket and Special Applications, will leave the Management Board when his contract expires on 31 March 2020. In the future, the Aftermarket business will be managed by President and CEO Dr. Rolf Breidenbach (57). Bernard Schäferbarthold (49), Managing Director Finance, Controlling, Information Technology and Process Management, will take over responsibility for the Special Applications segment. The new allocation is also intended to better reflect the heterogeneous target group landscape of both segments.

In addition, Dr. Nicole Schneider, who has been in charge of HELLA's worldwide human resources management as Managing Director Human Resources since the beginning of 2016, will leave the company by mutual agreement on 29 February 2020. The vacancy in the Human Resources department is to be newly filled at Management Board level. Until then, it will be managed by Dr. Rolf Breidenbach.

Carl-Peter Forster, Chairman of the HELLA Shareholder Committee, said with regard to the personnel changes in the Management Board: "We are pleased that Björn Twiehaus, a highly competent expert and manager with many years of HELLA experience, is joining the Management Board. At the same time, we would like to thank Dr. Schneider and Dr. Benade for their achievements in their respective areas of responsibility. We wish both of them all the best for the future."
